For only two weeks each October, when the leaves are turning color in West Virginia’s New River Gorge can we offer this great little tour. Join us as we ride the rails and enjoy a b r e a t h t a k i n g journey through this incredibly scenic area.

Day 1 –CHARLESTON, WV - We begin our journey today, as we head up through Eastern Kentucky, where the mountains meet the sun, and cross into West Virginia. We make our way to Charleston, where we check into our hotel for a two-night stay. This afternoon we enjoy a guided tour of this mountain town, located in the Kanawa River Valley. Tonight we enjoy a delightful evening together as we gather for an included group dinner.

Day 2 – NEW RIVER GORGE TRAIN RIDE - This morning, we depart for St. Albans, where we board the train and travel through the “Grand Canyon of the East” - West Virginia’s fantastic New River Gorge - one of the newest national parklands. We continue to Hinton, where there will be a street fair with local food stands, arts and crafts, entertainment, a railroad museum and other attractions. Then we re-board the train, enjoying an included boxed “dinner” as we begin our descent into St. Albans. Overnight same hotel.

Day 3 – HAWKS NEST, WV - This morning we board the coach for an exciting visit to New River Gorge Bridge, the second tallest vehicular bridge in the world. After an included lunch, we begin our journey back home with pleasant memories of our colorful “Fall Getaway.” Meals: 1L, 2D
