Day 1 - LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS - California, here we come! Our first day takes us south through Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee, and on to Little Rock, Arkansas.

Day 2 -FORT WORTH, TX - CITY TOUR - Today, we make our way to ForthWorth, where we tour this beautiful city with a local guide. Overnight in FortWorth, Texas.

Day 3 - CARLSBAD, NEW MEXICO - Today, we drive across western Texas and into Carlsbad, New Mexico, to overnight. As we journey across Texas, we observe the flat open land and realize how it must have influenced the ranchers and early settlers.

Day 4 - CARLSBAD CAVERNS - EL PASO - Today we tour Carlsbad Caverns, one of the largest and most beautiful caves in the world. Carlsbad Caverns has 21 miles of surveyed subterranean corridors and great chambers.We’ll take an elevator down into the “Big Room” where we can begin our leisurely tour of this incredible natural formation. After our tour, we drive on to El Paso, Texas, to overnight.

Day 5 - PHOENIX, ARIZONA - We say goodbye to Texas and cross New Mexico into Arizona. We continue into the Phoenix area where we spend the next two nights.

Day 6 - PHOENIX CITY TOUR - This morning, a local guide will step on board our coach and provide a tour of the beautiful city of Phoenix.We will see a blend of rugged OldWest and the sophisticated atmosphere of the NewWest. This afternoon will be at leisure to bask in the sun, do your laundry, or relax at the hotel.

Day 7 - LA PALMA, CALIFORNIA - Today we head to California, across the greatMojave Desert with its large variety of plant life, including the unique Joshua Tree cactus. We continue our drive to the largest city in California, Los Angeles. Our overnight accommodations for the next three nights will be in La Palma, California.

Day 8 - UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD - Today we’re off to Universal Studios. Did you ever wonder how those wonderful movies were made? From earthquakes to aliens, from fires to floods, you will experience the world of movies and learn how they are filmed in this exciting place. Next, a local guide will provide an informative City Tour of the Los Angeles area. Highlights of the tour include Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, the Farmer’sMarket, HollywoodWalk of Fame, and Mann’s Chinese Theater to see the handprints of the stars.

Day 9 - LEISURE DAY - Today is a leisure day. You may choose to take an optional visit to Disneyland or Knott’s Berry Farm, or just relax at the hotel.

Day 10 - LAS VEGAS - Today, we turn eastward to Nevada, heading to the dazzling neon lights of Las Vegas. A ride after dark will allow us to see the famous strip in all its glittering glory.We spend two nights in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Day 11 - HOOVER DAM - FREE EVENING - This morning, we take a short drive to visit Boulder City for a guided tour of Hoover Dam. Hailed as one of the greatest engineering feats of all time, you will be astounded at the magnitude of this dam. This afternoon and evening is at your leisure to see an optional show or relax at the hotel.

Day 12 - GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK - Departing Las Vegas, we head east and travel through canyon country to Grand Canyon National Park. While in the park, we will ride along the rim of the canyon, observing the magnificence of this amazing natural wonder created by the Colorado River. We overnight in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Day 13 - ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO - Today we journey to Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a stop at historic Old Town. Old Town Plaza is the heart of the city’s heritage and now offers a variety of arts, crafts and delicacies in a multitude of shops and boutiques. The San Felipe de Neri Church in the center of the plaza dates from 1706. We overnight in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Day 14 - PETRIFIED FOREST & PAINTED DESERT - Today, we cross into Arizona and visit the Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert. The Petrified Forest features an abundance of colorful petrified logs. We overnight in Amarillo, Texas.

Day 15 - SPRINGFIELD,MISSOURI - Today, we starting heading towards home, traveling east through Texas and Oklahoma, into Springfield, Missouri, to overnight. Day 16 - HOME - Our journey through the southwest comes to a close today and we make our way home with memories.
