General Conditions for Charter Contract Service
with Shockey Tours,
Inc.
No smoking, tobacco products, or chewing gum is permitted at anytime
on the motor coach.
Shockey Tours Inc. enforces state law KRS 189.530 prohibiting
open alcoholic beverage containers and drinking of alcoholic beverages
in a motor vehicle. Kentucky State Police and Kentucky Department
of Transportation says this DOES apply to motor-coaches.
The quoted price does not include the cost of the driver's hotel
room(s). If the requested service involves overnight travel, driver
hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the contracting
party. If the requested service involves more than one coach or
driver; each driver must have a private room.
The contracting party will be responsible for any and all tolls
and parking fees required for the requested service.
A two hundred ($200.00) dollar refundable cleanup and damage deposit
will be required on each charter contract. This must be submitted
by separate check, which will be returned if the coach is returned
in an acceptable condition.
The U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) will not allow
a driver to drive more than ten (10) hours or 600 miles or be on
duty more than fifteen (15) hours without having the next eight
(8) consecutive hours off duty. Please take this into consideration
when planning a trip.

Standing or walking about while the coach is in motion must be
kept to a minimum. The driver has the authority to require all
passengers to remain seated while moving or at times when their
safety could be jeopardized.
The cost of the requested service is based on the information
provided at the time of confirmation. Any changes to the itinerary
or additional service requested by the group leader during the
trip will be billed at current tariff rates upon completion of
the trip. Any mileage in excess of the original quote will be billed
upon completion of the trip. Additional hours of coach usage beyond
those stated in the required itinerary will be billed at fifty
($50.00) dollars per hour per coach. We reserve the right to deny
any additional service requested due to other commitments or driver
limitations. Also; re-read paragraph 5 above.
Shockey Tours, Inc. shall not be held liable for loss or damage
to baggage or other property. Babbage and other property shall
be handled at the passengers own risk and the amount of baggage
and other property shall be limited to the amount that can be properly
stored in the luggage compartment, overhead racks and under the
seats.
Video Information: Please limit your video selections
to those rated G, PG, or PG-13. R or X rated films will not be
allowed on the motor-coach. The driver has the authority to require
the group leader to stop any movie which, in their opinion, is
offensive or in poor taste. Please relay this information to your
prospective travelers.
Cancellation: To cancel a requested service, contact our office
as soon as possible. Cancellations must be received thirty (30)
days prior to the date of departure to ensure a full refund. If
cancellation occurs after thirty (30) days prior to the departure
date, a cancellation fee may be charged and the deposit may be
subject to forfeiture. If cancellation occurs after the driver
has left the terminal, charges for fuel, mileage, driver wages
and other expenses will be charged.
The stated charter price does not include the customary tip for
your driver. If you feel that they have given you good service,
a tip is customary and appreciated. If gratuity is paid by check,
it must be by separate check. Payable to the driver.
The trip itinerary, specific directions to hotels, restaurants,
attractions, etc. are the responsibility of the contracting party
and must be received at Shockey Tours, Inc. fourteen (14) days
prior to departure.
All coolers over the size of a six (6) pack cooler must be stored
in the luggage bays under the coach.
Oxygen containers will not be allowed on or under the coach due
to the dangers of exploding.
As of April 1, 2005, this price is subject to change due to the
current fuel crisis with either a fuel surcharge or a per mile
rate increase applied. |
