The town of Stockbridge, Massachusetts made famous by Norman Rockwell in his famous painting Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas, becomes a magical New England village, decorated with holiday wreaths and festive lights as the town celebrates the Annual Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas festival.
Day 1- HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND – A day of travel through the beautiful mountains of West Virginia brings us to Hagerstown, Maryland for our first overnight.
Day 2 – LENOX, MASSACHUSSETTS – After an included breakfast, a day of travel takes us to Lenox, Massachussetts, where we check into our overnight accommodations. Tonight, we have included a delicious dinner. Next, we join in festive caroling followed by a luminaria walk to the First Congregational Church.
Day 3 – NORMAN ROCKWELL MUSEUM – STOCKBRIDGE MAIN STREET – FESTIVAL OF TREES – This morning, we are off to Stockbridge, Massachussetts to visit the Norman Rockwell Museum. The museum houses the largest and most significant collection of Rockwell’s works, including 574 original paintings and drawings. This afternoon, we marvel at “Main Street Stockbridge at Christmas.” With over 50 antique cars parked along the street, everything is staged to look exactly like the famous Rockwell painting. Next, we will see the “Festival of Trees” display to see more than 100 dazzling Christmas trees bedecked in holiday finery. We have included another delicious dinner this evening.
Day 4 – HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND – This morning, we make a stop at the Garden Center before departing for Hagerstown, Maryland, where we overnight.
Day 5 – HOME – Today we return home with grand memories of Christmas past in New England. Meals: 4B, 2D
