Start your holiday season with a trip to the “Big Apple” for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Take a short walk from our hotel and enjoy the excitement of the parade on Broadway.
Day 1 - HAGERSTOWN, MARYLAND - A day of travel takes us through the beautiful mountains of West Virginia and brings us into the “Old Line State” of Maryland, where we overnight in Hagerstown, western Maryland’s largest community.
Day 2 - NEW YORK CITY - This morning we board our coach and continue our journey to New York City, the biggest, the brightest and the best! This evening, we’ll take the traditional tour to the top of the Empire State Building for a holiday look at this dazzling city. Our lodging for the next two nights will be in downtown Manhattan, near Times Square.
Day 3 - HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY! - MACY’S PARADE - For years, the great Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has marked the beginning of the holiday season, and this morning we will become a part of this festive event as we join the thousands who come out to watch this grand parade. There will be marching bands, floats, floats and more floats - and, of course, those fabulous balloons, hovering and floating over the crowds and down between the skyscrapers. In the afternoon, we have included a traditional Thanksgiving “dinner” at the fabulous Tavern on the Green Restaurant in New York’s Central Park. Next, we see New York at its best, as we attend the great “Christmas Spectacular” with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall.
Day 4 - NEW YORK CITY TOUR - This morning, we see what the “Big Apple” is all about. You’ll see Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Chinatown and the Financial District. We have time for lunch and some shopping in Macy’s Department Store, before departing New York and traveling to Hagerstown, Maryland.
Day 5 - HOME - What an exciting time we have had in New York! But, today, we return to Kentucky after our fabulous holiday experience in downtown Manhattan. Meals: 2B, Thanksgiving Day Lunch.
