Day 1 - CORALVILLE, IOWA - Our deluxe Shockey coach departs Louisville and heads northwest, through Indiana and Illinois to Coralville, Iowa.

Day 2 - CORN PALACE - SOUTH DAKOTA - Today, we continue across Iowa to Mitchell, South Dakota for a visit to the famous Corn Palace. This unique building dates back to 1892 and was built to display the products fromthe rich, eastern SouthDakota soil.Murals on both the interior and exterior of the building are made of corn and grasses from the area. Overnight inMitchell, South Dakota.

Day 3 - BADLANDS -WALL DRUG STORE - MT. RUSHMORE - This morning, we tour the Badlands National Park, a multi-colored wasteland of gullies, canyons and spires. Our next stop is Wall, South Dakota where we visit the famousWall Drug Store. Reported to be the world’s largest drug store, it is a fascinating place in which to both shop and eat. How about a buffalo burger? This afternoon, we visit Mt. Rushmore National Memorial. This shrine of democracy is one of the country’smost belovedmonuments.We overnight in Spearfish, SD.

Day 4 - SHELL CANYON - BLACK HILLS - We continue our travels through the Black Hills and the Big Horn Mountains. As we cross the high elevations of the Big Horn Mountains, we pass through Shell Canyon on our way to Cody,Wyoming where we spend the night.

Day 5 - YELLOWSTONE - GRAND TETON MOUNTAINS - The beautiful scenery ofYellowstoneNational Park awaits us today!We have time for picture taking and walking the paths through some of the bubbling mud pots and steaming pools. Old Faithful geyser flings its steamy plumes against the blue sky - on a fairly consistent schedule.Our next stop is Jackson Hole, Wyoming, located in the foothills of the mighty Grand TetonMountains.We enjoy two nights in this charming OldWest town of Jackson.

Day 6 - SNAKE RIVER - BAR JWRANGLERS - This will be a day of fun and adventure. First, we take a float ride on the Snake River through Snake River Canyon along the tranquil Teton Range region. Tonight, the dinner bell is ringing at the Bar J. From the early 1800’s cowboys enjoyed an evening of tall tales and music as they gathered at a chuck wagon and this evening we have included a rib-stickin’ western meal with entertainment provided by the Bar JWranglers.

Day 7 - MISSOULA, MONTANA - Today, we cross into the state of Idaho, passing huge fields of potatoes that grow in the rich, volcanic soil, as we continue toMissoula,Montana.

Day 8 - GOING-TO-THE-SUN-HIGHWAY - We visit one of the most beautiful spots in the world today, Glacier National Park!We stop at McDonald Lodge with time for lunch before a ride across Glacier National Park’s spectacular Going-To-The-Sun Highway. Acclaimed as one of the most outstanding scenic roadways of the world, it connects east with west and crosses the ContinentalDivide through Logan’s Pass. Wemeet our coach again and cross the border into Canada to overnight in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Day 9 - BANFF NATIONAL PARK - LAKE LOUISE - Today, we head to the awesome beauty of the Canadian Rockies, driving through Calgary, Alberta and on to Banff National Park. Our next stop is at beautiful Lake Louise with its emerald green waters and castle-like Chateau Lake Louise Hotel.Overnight Lake Louise, Alberta.

Day 10 - COLUMBIA ICEFIELDS - SNOWCOACH - Hanging glaciers, snow-capped mountains and unbelievable scenery await our eyes as we continue to the heart of the Canadian Rockies - a glorious panorama of endless mountain peaks; creeping, crawling glaciers; shimmering lakes; tumbling rivers and plunging waterfalls.We’ll climb aboard a snowcoach for a ride across the surface of the 1,000-foot Athabasca Glacier, part of the Columbia Icefield, the largest accumulation of ice in the Rockies. Our walk on the glacier is another thrilling, unbelievable experience. After lunch, we retrace our journey on the Icefield Parkway, again seeing the awesome beauty of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight Kamloops, British Columbia.

Day 11 - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - Today, we drive directly to “Canada’s doorway to the Orient,” Vancouver, British Columbia. Our early afternoon arrival will allow us time to tour the city. We spend the next two nights in a suburb of Vancouver.

Day 12 - VANCOUVER ISLAND - BUTCHART GARDENS - A special day awaits us as we take a ferry across the Strait of Georgia to Canada’s most beautiful city, Victoria, on Vancouver Island. Our day on the island will include the world famous Butchart Gardens, a visit to the famous Empress Hotel and time for lunch and shopping or visiting the Parliament Building before catching our return ferry.

Day 13 - SEATTLE,WA - PORTLAND,OREGON- Returning to the States today, we stop in Seattle,Washington for a tour of the city, then continue toward Portland, Oregon hoping to see the illusive Mt. St. Helen and Mt. Rainier. Our overnight accommodations will be in Portland, Oregon.

Day 14 - PACIFIC COAST HIGHWAY - Today, we take the beautiful drive along the Pacific Coast Highway as we tour the Oregon Coast to Crescent City, California. The road dips and weaves along craggy cliffs, driftwood beaches and sand dunes that are the largest in North America. Overnight in Crescent City, California.

Day 15 - REDWOOD FOREST - Another spectacular day!We make our way to Eureka, California, where we walk back in time on Samoa Island as we share an included authentic lumberjack meal in the 100-year-old Samoa Cookhouse, before visiting the famous Redwood Forest of northern California.We travel along and through the “Avenue of the Giants,”making several photo stops. There aremore than 43,000 acres of redwood groves in this area. Overnight Santa Rosa, California.

Day 16 - GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - FISHERMAN’S WHARF - This morning, we cross the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco. First, we board a Cable Car for a ride to Fisherman’sWharf, and then enjoy a city tour with a local guide, covering such attractions as Chinatown, the “crookedest street” and Twin Peaks. We return to Fisherman’sWharf for lunch and shopping.Overnight in San Francisco.

Day 17 - SIERRANEVADAMOUNTAINS - SOUTHLAKETAHOE - We head northeast today toward Sacramento and the Mother Lode Country. Our coach climbs through the Sierra Nevada Mountains to South Lake Tahoe,where we have included a delicious lunch in the beautiful Forest Restaurant at Harrah’s famous casino. The view from the 18th floor looks out on the shimmering waters of Lake Tahoe with the snow-capped SierraNevadaMountains in the background.Overnight in Reno, Nevada.

Day 18 - BONNEVILLE SALT FLATS - Today, we drive to Salt Lake City, crossing the Great Salt Desert and the Bonneville Salt Flats. Tonight, there will be time to walk through Mormon Square with its famous tabernacle and other buildings. Overnight in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Day19-DENVER,COLORADO-Our route today,will takeus across the wide-open spaces ofWyoming.We recall the days of the cowboy and open ranges as we head toDenver, Colorado for our overnight.

Day 20 - ABILENE, KANSAS - This morning, we make a stop at the Capitol building to see the plaque listing the elevation to be exactly one mile above sea level, giving Denver the name, “the mile-high city.” We depart Denver and make our way to Abilene, Kansas.

Day 21 - EISENHOWER CENTER - Before leaving Abilene this morning, we stop at the Eisenhower Center to see the boyhood home of President Dwight D. Eisenhower, the Eisenhower Museum and the Place of Meditation, where he is buried. Overnight in Boonville, Missouri.

Day 22 - HOME - We make our way home through St. Louis, Missouri, where we pass the famous Gateway Arch. We travel through the farmlands of Illinois and Indiana with fond memories that will last a lifetime of this w o n d e r f u l Northwest vacation. Meals: 5B, 2L, 1D
