Day 2 – FRENCH QUARTER – LAFAYETTE, LA – Today, we make our way to New Orleans, Louisiana for lunch and shopping in the French Quarter. Afterwards, we drive to Lafayette, Louisiana where we overnight.
Day 3 – SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – This morning, we depart Lafayette, continuing our journey to San Antonio. Our deluxe accommodations for the next three nights will be in downtown San Antonio, in the heart of all the festivities.
Day 4 – BATTLE OF FLOWERS PARADE – Today, we explore this stately old city of San Antonio. First, we visit the Alamo, the “cradle of Texas Liberty,”. The afternoon will be highlighted by San Antonio’s Annual “Battle of the Flowers” Parade. This evening is free to visit Paseo Del Rio, where you may choose to have dinner in one of the quaint little restaurants along the Riverwalk area. As a special end to your day, we have included a leisurely boat ride on the San Antonio River, which runs through the heart of downtown San Antonio.
Day 5 – FIESTA FLAMBEAU PARADE – Today, we see the history of San Antonio unfold during our visit to Mission San Jose, one of the many missions that have been preserved throughout the city. We also visit
Hemisfair Plaza, the site of San Antonio’s World Fair in 1968, and the Institute Of Texas Culture, which emphasizes the contributions of the 26 ethnic groups that helped settle Texas. Tonight, we see one of the
most beautiful and dazzling parades of all, “Fiesta Flambeau Parade.” Everything and everyone has lights on them for this great parade!
