Click here for more April, 2008 toursSmoky Mountain SCHOOL BREAKApr 8-11 Tour #280404 4 Days Double: $489 Triple: $469 Single: $599 Deposit: $100 Today we make our way to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee nestled in the middle of picturesque scenery and clear streams in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Includes 6 meals and 6 attractions! Day 1 - DIXIE STAMPEDE - PIGEON FORGE - Our coach heads south through Kentucky and on to Knoxville, Tennessee, where we stop for lunch. Next, we continue on to Pigeon Forge, in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, arriving early afternoon. We will check into our motel and have the remainder of the afternoon to rest and freshen up. Tonight, we have included a delicious dinner and show at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. The show is held in a 32,000 -square-foot arena and includes a four-course meal, country-style feast. Our hotel accommodations for the next three nights will be in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Day 2 - GATLINBURG - STAR CARS MUSEUM - RIPLEY’S MUSEUM- AQUARIUM- After an included breakfast we depart for Gatlinburg, where we visit the Star Cars Museum, which houses more than 30 automobiles featured in movies and television show. The collection includes “The Fast and Furious” Eclipse, the “Back to the Future” time machine and James Bond’s BMW from the movie “Golden Eye.” Vehicles owned by the Beach Boys, Steve McQueen, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra also are displayed. In the afternoon, we take the sky lift in cable chairs acrossMain Street and up the steep incline of 2,300 foot to the top of CrocketMountain for a spectacle view of the Gatlinburg. In the afternoon, we visit the Aquarium of the Smokies covering over 100,000 square feet. The facility houses exotic aquatic life from around the world, and has eight galleries that include a simulated tropical rain forest, coral reef and the stingray bay, where you can touch a stingray. On display are some 8,000 sea creatures, thousands of tropical fish, an octopus, sea turtle, giant spider crabs. Tonight, we enjoy an included dinner at the Hard Rock Café. We have allowed time for shopping in Gatlinburg this evening. Overnight same hotel. Day 3 - DOLLYWOOD - OLD MILL SQUARE - After an included breakfast this morning, we depart for Dollywood, a 140 acre theme park that includes The Tennessee Tornado loop coaster, Thunderhead wooden coaster, a coal fired steam train ride, a water flume ride,Dolly Parton Museum, Jukebox Junction, 40 live performances daily, and craft shops. Tonight we have included a delicious dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant and shopping at the Old Mill Square. Overnight same hotel. Day 4 - After an included breakfast this morning, there will be free time for shopping and lunch on your own at the Tangier Five Oaks Outlet in Sevierville, Tennessee before departing for home.
